Heather grew up in Wilkes County where she attended WCHS. She went to the University of NC Greensboro where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Child Development. She also attended Salem College where she earned her NC Birth-Kindergarten teaching license.
She has been teaching young children and working with families many years. She was with Wilkes County Schools System for 9 years. It is important to her that children have positive learning opportunities for growth in all areas of development and helping caregivers promote their leadership as a positive role model in teaching their children as well.
She enjoys reading books and scrapbooking photos.
She also enjoys watching tennis and basketball.
She and her husband Heath enjoy traveling especially to the beach.
She has a sweet and loving kitty named Cassidy.
