Healthy Food Choices During Pregnancy
Pregnant or planning a pregnancy? This workshop is for you! Information will be given about healthy eating during pregnancy and healthy snacks will be provided.
There will be a giveaway of $20 worth of Market Bucks to use at Wilkes Fresh to each participant at the end of the event.

Pathfinder Rally
This is Wilkes County's Welcome-to-Kindergarten Rally for all students entering Kindergarten in August 2024. On Saturday, June 8th from 9-11am, come out to the West Park parking lot for information, fun and excitement! Students entering kindergarten who attend will receive a t-shirt and a new bookbag with information and activities to help get children ready. Each of the Wilkes County elementary schools will be present along with a host of other community agencies sharing information about how each can serve students and families. We will have a bus on site for kids to explore, a live DJ, and more. There will be lots of giveaways! We look forward to seeing you on June 8th!
Little Children's Festival
Join us for Little Children’s Festival! This is a community-wide event for families of children age birth to five years old. Admission is free! We will have a live DJ, face painting, train rides, games, giveaways, and many representatives from our community. You don’t want to miss all the fun for you and your little one! Easter Egg Hunt at The Block
Join us for a FREE Easter Egg Hunt at The Block on Monday, March 25. This event is for children ages birth to five years, but most appropriate for older preschool children. Cookies with my Cutie
Wilkes Community Partnership for Children and Dom Bakeries are excited to bring you "Cookies With My Cutie" - a free community event for parents and children ages 0-5. Beginning at 9:00 AM on Thursday, February 8, parents and children will have the opportunity to decorate one free cookie for each child that attends. We will finish with a story time for each group. This event will take place in the upstairs meeting room of Dom Bakeries - 908 D Street North Wilkesboro, NC 28659. We are sorry, but we cannot offer any allergy-free alternatives, so please consider your child's medical history when attending this event. Parents must remain with children at all times. Healthy Holiday Snacks
Join Wilkes Community Partnership for Children for a Healthy Holiday Snacks event. This event is in partnership with Heather Casey, a registered dietician from Blue Cross Blue Shield of NC. Heather will be coming to WCPC and bringing supplies and recipes for families to practice making healthy holiday snacks for young children.This event is most appropriate for children ages 2-5, as the snacks will be for older preschool children. Touch a Truck
Touch a Truck - Wilkes County is going to be even bigger and better than years past. This FREE event is open to families and children young and old. See, touch and explore on September 9th 2023 from 10:00am - 2:00pm at the North Wilkesboro fairgrounds. Rain or shine. There will be a sensory-sensitive hour from 1-2:00pm with no lights and sirens.
Second Annual Ridge Run
Meet us at Crossroads Harley Davidson in Wilkesboro, NC for the Second Annual Ridge Run. Proceeds benefit WCPC and Anchor Ridge Ministries. Registration starts at 10:30 and kickstands go up at 11:30. Riders are $25 and passengers are $10. A meal will be served at Anchor Ridge at 2 PM. The lunch is free for riders and $10 for those not participating in the ride.
Licensed Childcare Center Information Session
Join Wilkes Community Partnership for Children for an information session about opening a licensed childcare center. We will be providing resources and answering questions.
