Gingerbread Houses at The Block
Join WCPC on Monday, December, 16 at The Block for a morning of fun and gingerbread house building! This is a free event for families with children birth to five years old. While all children in this age range are welcome, it is most appropriate for older preschool children. Families are invited to attend ONE session to build a gingerbread house. Santa will be there to join in the fun.
Slots are for children. Parents do not need to take a slot for themselves or other adults. Please enter the parent's name in the slot. If you are bringing more than one child, please take a slot for each child that will attend. Parents or caregivers must remain with children during this event. Fam Jam
Have you ever wanted to know more about WCPC’s programs for families? Join us for Fam Jam, a fun event where all Wilkes County families with children age birth to five can learn more about our FREE programs. This event will take place on Monday, August 12 from 11 AM to 1 PM at First United Methodist Church of North Wilkesboro. WCPC will have representatives to give more information about Play 2 Learn, Circle of Parents, Circle of Security, and more! There will be free pizza and games for the family. Contact the WCPC office for more information. Pre-registration is not required for this event.

Make and Take Workshop
This event is being held by WCPC for teachers at local licensed childcare centers. Free materials will be supplied. This event will focus on training for transitions, scheduling, and using a feelings check-in chart.
The event will take place on Monday, July 29 at the WCPC office in West Park. The event will be 6:15 PM to 8:15 PM. Dinner is provided. Childcare is not provided for this event.

Pathfinder Rally
This is Wilkes County's Welcome-to-Kindergarten Rally for all students entering Kindergarten in August 2024. On Saturday, June 8th from 9-11am, come out to the West Park parking lot for information, fun and excitement! Students entering kindergarten who attend will receive a t-shirt and a new bookbag with information and activities to help get children ready. Each of the Wilkes County elementary schools will be present along with a host of other community agencies sharing information about how each can serve students and families. We will have a bus on site for kids to explore, a live DJ, and more. There will be lots of giveaways! We look forward to seeing you on June 8th!
